About Lily O’Neill
I am a Kansas City, MO, native with a strong love for BBQ and the Chiefs. In 2019, I graduated with an emphasis in Magazine Writing and a minor in Spanish from the University of Missouri Journalism School.
I am currently a freelance reporter in Austin, TX. I recently settled down here after a two-year role as the Food Reporter for The Denver Post, covering all things culinary in the Mile High City, whether that was the inaugural Michelin Guide, a roundup of some of the top spots to visit around town or a glimpse at what made foodies drool in Denver. Before The Post, I reported on the restaurant industry, real estate market and startup world for BusinessDen and also worked for 5280 magazine. I previously won an award for business reporting at the Kansas City Star.
